Qi Life Wellness Center Health Disclaimer
DISCLAIMER
The services provided at Qi Life Wellness Centers—including Qi Coils™, Aura Coils™, scalar wave generators, PEMF systems, and vibroacoustic therapies—are for personal wellness enhancement only. These services do not diagnose, treat, or cure any medical condition and are not a substitute for professional medical care.
Please consult with your healthcare provider prior to using frequency-based therapies if you have any underlying health concerns or are under medical supervision.
CONTRAINDICATIONS: Health Conditions Requiring Caution or Medical Clearance
1. Pacemakers, Defibrillators, or Electronic Implants
Risk: PEMF can interfere with the function of life-sustaining electrical devices.
Why: The magnetic fields may disrupt the timing and signal processing of implanted cardiac devices.
From Practitioner Course Module 5: “PEMF should never be used if somebody has an electrical device implanted… the PEMF can interfere with that function”.
2. Organ Transplant Recipients or Immunosuppressive Therapy
Risk: PEMF enhances immune system activity, which can trigger organ rejection.
Why: Organ recipients are typically prescribed immunosuppressants; stimulating immunity may counteract those medications.
“PEMF is contraindicated when patients are on immunosuppressant medications… stimulating the immune system may result in the immune system attacking the transplanted organ”.
3. Pregnancy
Risk: Unknown effects on fetal development and uterine contractions.
Why: Although no definitive human studies exist showing harm, energy-based therapies are generally avoided during pregnancy as a precautionary measure.
Advisory standards from medical device manufacturers and PEMF literature typically list pregnancy as a general contraindication..
4. Epilepsy and Seizure Disorders
Risk: Electromagnetic stimulation may potentially trigger seizures in sensitive individuals.
Why: PEMF influences neuronal electrical activity. Those with a history of epilepsy should avoid unsupervised exposure.
5. Cancer and Active Tumors
Risk: Complex. PEMF may stimulate cellular activity, which is not advisable in active cancers unless under therapeutic supervision.
Why: Cancer involves abnormal cell proliferation. While Qi Life offers cancer support frequencies using substances like L-limonene and Triptolide with anti-tumor properties, PEMF is not a substitute for oncology treatment and is best used under clinical oversight.
Clients with active cancer should only use Qi Life systems under medical clearance and with awareness of research-informed intent.
6. Uncontrolled High Blood Pressure or Recent Stroke/Heart Attack
Risk: PEMF can stimulate circulatory and cardiovascular activity.
Why: If blood pressure is unstable or the cardiovascular system is fragile, increased circulation and stimulation could cause complications.
7. Metal Implants (especially in sensitive areas like the brain or spine)
Risk: While most titanium implants are inert, magnetic fields can interact with metallic components depending on material and location.
Why: PEMF induces movement in conductive materials. Caution is advised around metal plates, rods, or clips, especially near vital organs or neural tissue.
8. Photosensitivity or Light-Sensitive Conditions (e.g., migraines, lupus)
Risk: Some Qi Life sessions use LED, scalar field, or sound therapy components that may aggravate neurological symptoms.
Why: Clients prone to sensory overload or neurological disorders should avoid intense vibratory, light, or sound inputs.
9. Severe Skin Conditions or Open Wounds (especially with contact-based systems)
Risk: The use of crystal mats or contact-based therapy on open lesions may worsen irritation.
Why: While PEMF is non-invasive, topical contact or local electromagnetic stimulation may increase sensitivity or inflammation.
10. Young Children (Under Age 5)
Risk: Developing nervous systems are more susceptible to unknown effects of frequency exposure.
Why: There is limited research on PEMF or frequency-based therapy for infants and toddlers. Precaution is advised.
