This is very nice quality acupressure mat and pillow and comes with a bag to keep it clean. I would highly recommend buying this.

This acupressure mat works as advertised. I can lay on it when I’m stressed and feel the tension melt away! That pillow is the best part. I use it all the time, behind my back in a chair, as a neck pillow, the possibilities are endless.

I just received this acupressure mat and pillow so haven't had a lot of time to see a long term effect. I was expecting more pain from other reviews when I first laid on it, but I didn't find it painful or uncomfortable at all. My neck and back were much more relaxed after 30 minutes of use.

The mat takes a little getting used to, I definitely wear a thin t-shirt while using it. I really like the pillow, I spray a little bit of lavender oil for more relaxation and is the perfect size for my lower back while sitting in a chair.

I am so impressed with this acupressure mat! I currently experience complete back soreness plus back pain, my calves will also knot up not release for days at a time. I’ve been using it for almost a week now and have experienced so much relief, it’s truly unbelievable! I actually want to ensure I wasn’t giving the mat more credit than it deserved so I almost didn’t use the mat this morning even though I have a painful jolt down the muscles of one side of my back. I decided to use it anyway because I didn’t want the pain to worsen throughout the day. I’m glad I did because I felt instant relief in my back and neck. This does not take away every ounce of pain I feel, especially if it’s related to the knees but my pain level decreases instead of not using it.

I actually bought this mat to try after being diagnosed with Fibromyalgia to see if it would help my overall muscular body pain. It gives a whole new sensation to my body when I sit or lay down on it. It hurts and feels like needles poking you but after you lay down on it for a while, it also takes your mind off the muscular pain. It's sort of like fighting your pain with more pain and it seems to help. I don't understand why it helps but I have been using it when needed and I feel better after using it. It' s a totally different sensation.

I almost didn't buy this mat after reading other reviews about how painful it was to use. However, I am very glad I did. I get really bad knots in my back and spend all day in front of a computer, so I needed a way to get pain relief while I was stuck at home and was not able to get my regular massages. This ended up being a life saver for me during quarantine. Start out by laying on a heating pad for 15-20 min to get your muscles really warm and loosened up, and then use this acupressure mat. Be careful laying down on top of it, or you will scrape your skin. I wore a thin tank top for my first several uses until I became more comfortable with the sensation. It starts out feeling pretty painful, like you are sitting on top of a meat tenderizer. Then it moves to a tingly feeling, and then just a warm relaxing sensation. I am up to about 25-30 minutes of continuous use now, and it works really well to relax my back and help release the tension knots I get. Despite the initial pain, and concern that this was a really bad idea, I would highly recommend trying it out. The pillow it comes with also helps with neck pain and headaches. Don't be afraid and give it a try, for the price it is worth it.

Like being kissed by a star. I have very tight shoulders and this crazy little porcupine torture device pulled that tightness out! I can't afford a massage therapist, so I figured, why not try this creepy little porcupine mat. I unrolled the little bigger, dropped it on my carpeted living room floor, ripped my shirt off and threw caution to the wind! Was a bit painful for the first few minutes, but then I started to ease up to the point where I could feel my whole body relaxing. By the 5-6-minute mark I could barely tell I was being tortured any more. By the 15-minute mark I actually started getting sleepy. About 25 minutes in and I decided to call it a great first session. Though my back looked like a bunch of golfers stomped it to bits, that too went away within 20 minutes. Pretty sure I'm going to buy one more so I can put them end to end and get a whole body porcupine torture session in. I am tall and this fit me great.

I use this acupressure mat when my back is hurting and find it does relax my muscles and make them less sore. When I first tried the mat it hurt bad and I wasn't sure if I would keep it. I am stubborn and kept trying the mat and now I use it on a routine basis as my back has become accustomed to it and I don't feel the pain like I did the first few times. I admit I don't use the neck pillow as it digs into the base of my skull but instead use it to roll my feet on when they ache and it works well for that purpose. Some of our great grandchildren ask to lay on the mat when they come to visit. They usually read a book while lying there for a bit and say the mat makes their back feel better.

Nice color. A bit shorter than expected. I like that it comes with a carrying bag. I have fibromyalgia and this seems to do awesome with getting my brain to rewire the pain. Super pumped about the possibilities. Not sure about the neck pillow yet. I have a bit of desensitization because of having pain everywhere, so if others say this hurts I'd believe them, but it's just pokey- like its meant to be. If you didn't expect that and docked stars for pain, I don't think that's fair. The point is to make your body think, so it's excellent for meditation and mindfulness!! Love this after some yoga, and can lay it on my bed if I feel like it. Very helpful product.

I returned it, too sharp for me

I purchased this mat for my brother who has a slip disc and other back issues after being hit by a car years ago. He hadn't used it yet but I decided to try it and omg it truly works. I was in a motorcycle accident and been recovering slowly. I have a slight tear of my rotator cuff, neck pain, my back rough upper and lower. I used my husband’s t-shirt like other reviewers recommended omg laid on lordy worked through the needles. Folks survive that for 5 minutes and you will begin to feel warmth. Well folks I bit down inhale and exhaled slowly. 4-5 minutes it lessened up warmth started spreading across my back and I fell asleep for 40 minutes. This is a woman who haven't been sleeping due to pain. It was me turning on my side that pain from the pressure of the prickly needles woke my butt up. I got off of mat laid back down and slept the rest of the night and awoke feeling great! So try it if you are in pain and suffering because you have nothing to lose. Peace and blessings to all suffering in pain. If this doesn't work don't give up keep looking!

I will admit I was intimidated by its looks and if used carelessly it can hurt, but every single person who has tried this always loves it. Sure, they say ouch at first, but try taking it away from them. This set is so relaxing. Great for pain relief and I've also had success using it for digestive issues as well. If you're into holistic or alternative medicine at all then this set is absolutely perfect for you.

I bought this mat for three of us in the family and it works like magic! My mom has back pain for a very long time and my dad has upper left back pain, both had acupuncture treatment at the clinic which helps but once the treatment stops, pain gradually comes back. I myself have chronic neck pain from long time sitting at a desk. Now with this mat, every one of us sleeps on it for 30 minutes to an hour before falling asleep, you will feel throbbing and pinching for the first 5 to 10 minutes on it but the feeling of it is like your blood starts flowing smoothly under your skin! After a couple days you start feeling so much better and long term using it, the pain gradually goes away! Of course this is not an ultimate solution because my mom started doing yoga but I am sure this mat definitely helps!

I was so ready to be disappointed in this mat, so I figured I'd use it to get me through until I could afford massages or acupuncture. This is the real deal! I have fibromyalgia and this mat made my muscles relax more than they ever have for an acupuncturist. I wish it was bigger to cover more area since the nerves in my whole body are affected but, neck and back are great spots to relax as they really set the tone of the day.
Francisca B.
This thing is awesome! Yes, it can hurt especially on those really tight areas but I love it anyway. You can feel the blood start racing through your body, great for circulation. Takes a few minutes to adjust your body to the right position when laying on your back. I lay on it all different ways. Pull your legs up when on your back to get the middle of your back and spine, I love standing on it, the hip area hurts but I do it anyway. I use it almost every day and I only wear underwear when I use it. This was a great price and it came with a pillow.
Dante C.
Tried it with a hoodie, then a thin t-shirt, and then nothing at all to test out how much the spikes might hurt. Couldn’t feel them at all in a hoodie, could feel them somewhat through the t-shirt. It took a few minutes of adjusting the first time I used to get comfortable. It says 5-10 minutes for a beginner, so I had the intention of just using it for ten minutes. Except that I fell asleep for just over 10 minutes. It was the best unexpected nap I have had in years. I usually end up tossing and turning to get comfortable enough to fall asleep. I do a lot of heavy and sometimes pretty awkward lifting for work as a loader of the brown trucks at UPS. I did manage to throw my back out once at work. I wanted to try something other than ice, heat, and pain meds for tired and sore muscles. This is perfect and very affordable. I have turned co-workers onto this thing. It’s amazing. On especially heavy load days, I will lay on this for two episodes of Friends on Netflix as soon as I get home from work. I don’t feel as beaten down or fatigued for the rest of my day as I used to and I sleep so much better at night with my same old mattress.

There had been a storm recently in our town and my package was taken by the flood and I don’t know where to find it

I was skeptical of this helping but was willing to try it for the price. I have a spinal fusion in my neck so my muscles and nerves can become really bunched up. This isn't a cure but it has helped ease some of the tension through my neck and upper back. I then sleep better and don't wake up with a headache.
Tamika C.
It's a modern version of a traditional nail bed! The kind of thing we're used to seeing in cartoons. Yes, it's painful but in about 3-5 minutes, the pain is replaced by an extraordinary sensation of deep warmth. It's hard to describe. Like lying on a heating pad, except that the sensation is inside one's skin. It's possible that I have a high pain-threshold because the tiny spikes are really sharp and could potentially really hurt, if I'm not careful while handling the mat and the pillow. But I really look forward to my sessions lying flat on my back, bare-skinned, on the floor. I listen to an audio book and have to struggle to avoid falling asleep.
Reynard V.
When you first lie down on this mat and pillow you think no way I can put up with this, it really does hurt at first. But if you don't concentrate on all those sharp points sticking into you and actually relax you may see what the raves are about. You need to give it at least 5 to 10 minutes to begin feeling the benefits. If you do not relax it will not work. It helps my back and my tension headaches, I actually push down into the pillow with my neck and move my neck into several positions. After about 10 minutes of use you begin to feel a warming sensation that actually feels quite pleasant. For the price this is a great product. Does leave your skin looking like a frozen hamburger patty for a little while.

My daughter loves it so much, but me, not so much! My pain tolerance is not what it used to be

I purchased this mat out of desperation. I've had sleep issues for years now, but am too stubborn to see a doctor and just never wanted to end up hooked on a sleep aid. I practically lived off melatonin but it's started to not work anymore and I needed something else. This Acupressure Mat seemed harmless, so I figured I'd give it a shot. I use it before bed, for 20-40 minutes. I usually read a book to pass the time. I was skeptical that this would work for me, it sounded weird and I figured I would try it for a week or two and that if it wouldn't work I'd end up throwing it away. Now I use it every night, and there’s no lasting grogginess that always seemed to come with melatonin or zzquil. Just normal happy sleep. It also helps with muscle tension which is a huge plus. I'd guess this mat works differently for everyone, but it's been amazing beneficial for me.

I'm a 25-year-old man with horrible posture. I'm currently on week two of physical therapy and have been trying to find ways to alleviate my back pain. This mat is amazing. I've never tried acupressure before and bought this because of the reasonable price. It was uncomfortable at first. You definitely have to resist the urge to get up. But within 3-5 minutes, something just happens. You just melt into the mat and it feels amazing. The pillow has been fantastic at helping relieve those base of the skull headaches. I want everyone to have one of these.

I bought this mat for anxiety and stress relief. I love it! Laying straight on my back is often something that helps when I feel my stress getting too high. In just one use I already feel some anxiety relief and more than just lying on the ground. The sensory input of the points really helps! Obviously, be smart. Your first use should not be bare back jumping down on the thing. I started with a t-shirt and felt the pillow on my bare neck and then quickly took off my shirt as I had a camisole on. I then focused on my breathing and relaxed. Start with a t-shirt, then lighter shirt, then bare skin. If you're one that likes weighted blankets than this is another sensory input that you might like and even at the full price is worth it! As we all know anxiety medication only goes so far and often it's our lifestyle and coping skills that make the biggest impact!

I got this acupressure mat because I had a sore and tense neck and upper back and can't afford regular massages. I was skeptical when I unpacked this because it didn't seem like anything special. Looks are deceiving, so I tried it out right away. Description suggests that beginners start with their clothes on, but I hardly felt anything that way, so I went bare-back immediately. Different strokes for different folks! The initial feeling was a bit like a back scratch, like it felt good. After a few minutes, it started to burn, but in a good way. I found myself closing my eyes and relaxing. When I got up, I could definitely feel the difference! I have tried it both in bed and on the floor and both are effective, but especially on the floor.

This is the first time qilife sent me a late package, I hope it won't happen again.

Won't lie, it hurts when you first lay down. I shattered my leg to pieces a year ago and I am fairly tolerant to pain so I would not think it's just me being a wimp! That said after a couple of minutes and letting my body melt into the mat the pain is replaced by a pure feeling of relaxation. It has helped with my chronic leg pain and back pain due to my walking gait being off. You have to give it an honest try. If you don't practice and let all of your muscles relax it won't work. Keep trying a little each day, it will be worth it I promise!

I have a lot of back pain and there isn’t much that helps. I just walk around like that most of the time. I recently moved and my back was triggered about all the extra activity. I have a bunch of kids, so I’m usually on the move, but heavy lifting is generally a bad idea and no amount of ibuprofen was cutting it. I was looking for back pain solutions and came across with this acupressure mat. I’m convinced it’s an updated version of some medieval torture device. It got here quickly. It’s pretty self-explanatory and easy to use. You’re going to want to be somewhere that no kids or pets are going to come along and sit or jump on you. I read the reviews that said keep your shirt on the first time you use it, but I thought eh...yolo. First of all, if you have any sort of fat to adjust you need to lay down slowly and adjust as you go. Get ready for the bed of nails, because that’s what it feels like. And then it’s hot. BUT...I legit dozed off after that. You feel your muscles relax and it’s all very warm feeling. When I got up I felt like my back had been severely sunburnt, my skin was very red, but after about 10 minutes that subsided. From the second I got up, my back pain had dissolved into nothing. It’s gone. Nothing I’ve tried up until now has worked this well. It’s 100% worth the price and the few minutes of discomfort. I haven’t felt my muscles this relaxed in years.

I've had lower back pain on and off for years. I also get tension headaches. The first time I laid on this mat, I loved it! I laid on it for about ten minutes and my headache was gone. It says to start off laying on something soft. But I dived right in and laid on the floor with it. It wasn't painful or uncomfortable at all.
